Finished Film And Evaluation

Evaluation -

The film started off as the story of a girl Robyn who was struggling with mental issues but then followed a girl Delilah who looked happy and at peace one was wearing depressing black clothes and the other a colorful outfit, Robyn would follow Delilah every day and watch her being creative and expressing herself and it turns out that Delilah is just a figment of Robyn's imagination and she would turn into Delilah wearing her outfit and doing the creative things. When we had done the original shots we realized how bad they looked due to bad planning and execution, As well as the fact that we didn't know how to use the camera properly so didn't format the SD card and kept getting the recording stop in the middle ruining some of our shots. We then changed the script of the movie so that Robyn would still see Delilah at the train station but would follow her and murder her with the twist being that she would return to the train station to see the dead Delilah emerging again to follow her once again. When we started filming for this idea the lens we used was sticky so was not auto focusing properly meaning that we had to use manual focus resulting in some slightly blurry shots that came up as an issue in editing. When editing I didn't really know how to use the premier pro editing software as well as the apple macs so this came up as an issue as I had to ask for help with a lot of the features. as well as when exporting I had not selected the correct options so the exported film looked terrible and blurry. Next time I will go for a less ambitious project or perhaps plan it better. Also I will put time into learning the editing software and apple os to use it on so that it is easier and quicker next time I am using it

the master sequence analysis

A Level Film The Master Sequence Analysis This sequence starts with a medium closeup of a middle aged woman who appears to be eating, then there is a clean cut to a mid shot of a middle aged man and woman dressed in smart attire. In this shot we can also see that there is top down lighting making the table and the occupants of it illuminated and the background dark rendering the surroundings invisible, This could be to show the importance of what is happening at the table because nothing around them is there or important. We can hear diegetic sounds of plates scraping and  people eating as the extreme mid shot continues we can see the middle aged man looking nervous as if he is about to say something important and after he has glanced in the direction of the camera and the man in the shot whose face we have not yet seen, the middle aged man then addresses the unknown man as dad and we can infer from this that the occupants of the table are all related and may be family.
